WHAT YOU NEED-
- Greek Yogurt– You want to use plain Greek yogurt for this sauce recipe! You can also swap sour cream for a less tangy flavor.
- Cucumber– One of the main ingredients for this Greek tzatziki is the grated cucumbers! You can either grate them on the large or small side of the grater box.
- Herbs– This recipe calls for both fresh cilantro and dill! The fresh herbs are what gives this sauce all the right flavors.
- Garlic– You can’t forget the fresh garlic, which gives all the right flavors! I recommend that you use fresh garlic, but you can also use jarred minced garlic.
- Lemon– For the best results, I recommend that you use freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Oil– Adding a little bit of olive oil to this sauce helps thin out the thickness of the yogurt and adds extra flavor.
- Seasonings– To season this sauce, I just use salt and pepper. You can also use a tzatziki seasoning blend if preferred.
