- Preheat the oven and spray the muffin tin with baking spray. (Be sure to spray generously to avoid the egg bites from getting stuck in the tin.)

QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE:
To avoid all sticking, you want to use a silicone muffin tin! But I use a regular muffin tin and just make sure I spray with baking spray.
Yes! You can totally just use egg whites for this egg bites recipe for a lighter version.
The cottage cheese gives you a higher protein and creamier egg bite. You can totally swap the cottage cheese for milk, half and half, Greek yogurt or even sour cream.
If you are using a silicone muffin liner, no you do not need to line the tin. If you are using a regular muffin tin and prefer to line instead of spraying with baking spray, then go for it!
There are a couple ways to test if the egg bites are done. If the egg bites are firm and not jiggly, then they are done. You can also run a toothpick in the center and if it comes out clean, they are done.
I like smooth and creamy egg bites, so I love blending the egg bites batter, this helps you avoid chunky cottage cheese.
If you want bigger egg bites, you can swap the muffin liner for silicone frittata pans.
