STRAWBERRY MATCHA

The combination of flavors from the matcha and strawberries is truly magical! This Strawberry Matcha recipe blends the rich, earthy flavors of matcha with the sweet, vibrant notes of fresh strawberries, creating a perfect balance of taste and color. Whether you’re a matcha enthusiast or a fruit lover, this drink is sure to satisfy your cravings for something both energizing and delicious.

WHAT YOU NEED-

  • Matcha Powder– To get the best flavor, opt for a high-quality matcha powder. While some premium brands can be quite expensive, there are great options that are more budget friendly. For a more affordable choice, Jade Leaf matcha offers both great taste and value.
  • Water– For an iced matcha latte, it’s best to use cold water. Like how coffee beans are prepared, you’ll first mix the matcha powder with water before combining it with the milk.
  • Sweetener– For sweetness, you have plenty of options. You can use sugar, honey, liquid cane sugar, or even flavorings like caramel, hazelnut, or strawberry to customize your matcha to your taste.
  • Milk– Like a traditional latte, you can choose between dairy or non-dairy milk. Whether it’s classic half-and-half, almond milk, oat milk, flavored creamers, or any other variety you prefer, all will work wonderfully!
  • Strawberry– To achieve the best results, I recommend that you use fresh strawberries! You can also use frozen strawberries, just be sure to thaw them before using.
  • Sugar– To make the strawberry puree, you want to muddle or blend the strawberries in granulated sugar. Mixing the strawberries with sugar helps release the juices in the strawberries. You can swap the sugar for honey or just keep the strawberry puree unsweetened.

HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY MATCHA

This strawberry matcha recipe is so easy to make, skip the line and make this Starbucks strawberry matcha copycat instead!

  1. Remove the stems and rinse the strawberries.
  2. Mash the berries and sugar with a fork, muddler or even in the blender.
  3. Sift the matcha powder into a cup or bowl. Add in the water and with a hand whisk or a matcha whisk, whisk until foamy and powder is incorporated in the water.
  4. Assemble to strawberry matcha– Place the strawberry puree to the bottom of a large serving glass. Fill the cup glass about 1/2 of the way.
  5. Pour in the milk and then top it off by pouring in foamy matcha.
  6. Mix with a straw and enjoy your refreshing strawberry matcha.
If you want more strawberry puree, just make more! There is no limit to the amount of strawberries you can add!

SWAP THE STRAWBERRY

You can totally swap out the strawberries for a different berry! Here are some different options:

  • Blueberry
  • Raspberry
  • Blackberry
  • Passion fruit
  • Mutli-Berry
  • Peach
