BEST GREEK SALAD
This delicious Greek salad is a light, healthy, and satisfying meal that’s perfect for any occasion—whether you’re looking for a refreshing side dish or a wholesome main course. The salad is loaded with romaine, fresh veggies, olives, feta cheese, and croutons, a light yet hearty salad that will become your favorite!
WHAT YOU NEED-
- Romaine– While not traditional in a classic Greek salad, romaine lettuce adds heartiness and a burst of flavor that truly elevates the dish. You can use chopped romaine or crisp iceberg lettuce for that perfect base.
- Cucumber– Mini cucumbers, sliced for a crisp texture, are a refreshing addition that pairs perfectly with the other ingredients.
- Tomato– Whether you go with juicy cherry tomatoes or thick slices of regular tomatoes, they’re essential for that burst of freshness in every bite.
- Red Onion– For a punch of flavor, opt for thinly sliced red onions. If you want, you can also use sweet onions instead of red onions.
- Olives– Either black olives or Kalamata olives work in this salad! If olives aren’t your thing, feel free to skip them—but they do bring a distinct Mediterranean flavor.
- Banana Peppers– Add a little extra kick with mild or hot banana peppers—totally optional but totally delicious for a hint of spice.
- Croutons– While not part of the classic Greek salad, croutons bring a delightful crunch and extra flavors. You can use your favorite croutons or leave them out.
- Feta Cheese– Crumbled feta is the secret ingredient that defines a perfect Greek salad. Its creamy texture and tangy bite make all the difference.
- Dressing – For the ultimate flavor, go with my homemade Greek salad dressing. Of course, a store-bought version works too, but nothing beats the freshness and zing of homemade!
