BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAP

If you’re craving something bold and full of flavor, these Buffalo Chicken Wraps are exactly what you need! Crispy buffalo chicken, Ranch, cheese and shredded lettuce all wrapped in a soft tortilla, this recipe is full of flavor! Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch, dinner, or a game-day snack, these wraps are sure to satisfy your taste buds.

WHAT YOU NEED-

  • Tortilla– For the best wrap you want to use the burrito size tortillas! You can flour tortillas, carb balance tortillas, flavored tortillas, and even high protein tortillas.
  • Chicken– Any chicken can be used, shredded chicken, air fryer chicken, chicken tenders, popcorn chicken, or even chicken cutlets! I like to use frozen chicken tenders, since I always have them in the freezer.
  • Buffalo Sauce– Either store bought buffalo sauce or homemade buffalo wing sauce can be used! I like BWW mild sauce or the Franks Red Hot sauce.
  • Cheese– Either shredded mild cheddar or Colby jack cheese can be used. You can use any of your favorite cheese, if you like blue cheese, you can even use that!
  • Ranch– The combination of flavors from the crispy buffalo chicken and Ranch is so perfect! You can use your favorite Ranch or blue cheese dressing. I love using my copycat Wingstop Ranch for these wraps.
  • Lettuce– Either romaine or iceberg can be used, this adds extra crunch and flavor! You can leave the lettuce out if you don’t like it.

HOW TO MAKE BUFFALO CHICKEN WRAPS

In under minutes, you can have these flavorful and hearty chicken buffalo wraps ready to enjoy!

  1. Cook the chicken tenders according to the desired method.
  2. Chop the chicken into cubes and add to a bowl and toss with the buffalo sauce.
  3. Layout the tortillas and add the shredded lettuce to the center of the tortillas.
  4. Drizzle Ranch over the lettuce, add the buffalo chicken, and then top with shredded cheese. Divide the fillings among both tortillas.
  5. Fold the sides of the tortillas and then roll the wrap into a burrito.
  6. Serve with desired sides.

QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE:

Do I need to toast my wrap after it is assembled?

Although it is not required to warm/toast the chicken wraps, you totally can for a crispy and warm wrap. Just warm it in a skillet or add it to a panini press.

Do I eat these wraps cold or hot?

You can enjoy these wraps both ways! If you are eating your wrap right away, the chicken will still be warm but everything else will be crisp. I don’t like the taste of warm lettuce, so if I want warm wraps, I will leave out the lettuce or add it after the wrap is warmed.

Do I have to use chicken tenders?

No! You can use any chicken that you prefer! Leftover rotisserie chicken, sauteed chicken, air fryer chicken or even leftover grilled chicken can be used!

Can I leave out the buffalo sauce?

If you don’t like hot buffalo sauce you can make these without the buffalo sauce! You can also swap the buffalo sauce for barbecue sauce for BBQ wraps!

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes! I love to make these ahead of time for lunch! I just keep the lettuce separately and add it right before serving to avoid soggy lettuce. You can also prep the chicken ahead of time and keep it in the fridge for 3-4 days and just heat, assemble the wraps and serve! I love to do this in the summertime, for a quick lunch.

How to store leftover chicken wraps?

Store the leftover chicken wraps in the fridge in an airtight container for 2-3 days!

Easy Crispy Buffalo Chicken Wraps

Ingredients

  • 2 medium flour tortillas
  • 2 large chicken tenders** cooked
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or romaine
  • ranch dressing
  • 1/3 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup hot buffalo sauce

Instructions

  • Chop the cooked chicken tenders into bite-sized cubes and place them into a mixing bowl.
  • Pour the buffalo sauce over the chicken and mix until well combined, and all the pieces are coated. You can adjust the amount of sauce depending on how spicy you want your wraps to be.
  • Assemble the Wraps- (Evenly dividing everything between both tortillas.)
  • Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface or clean countertop. In the center of each tortilla, add a generous portion of shredded lettuce.
  • Drizzle Ranch dressing over the shredded lettuce. Add the buffalo chicken over the lettuce and Ranch.
  • Then, sprinkle shredded cheese over the chicken, adding as much or as little as you prefer.
  • Carefully fold the sides of the tortillas in, and then roll the tortillas tightly to form a burrito.
  • Once wrapped, cut the burrito in half if desired, and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

**If you are not using chicken tenders use 1 1/2 cups of cooked chicken, cubed or shredded.
