WHAT YOU NEED-
- Pasta– You can use either short or long pasta for this dish! Pastas like rotini, penne, bowtie, linguine, angel hair, fettuccine or any other pasta you prefer.
- Chicken– This recipe calls for boneless skinless chicken breast. You can also swap the chicken breast out for chicken tenderloins or boneless skinless chicken thighs. Any other chicken can be used for this pasta dish, shredded chicken, blackened chicken, chicken cutlets or even grilled chicken thighs!
- Oil– To marinate the chicken, you want to coat the chicken in either olive oil, vegetable oil, canola or even avocado oil. This helps the chicken to become crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside.
- Flavors– To season the season, this recipe uses salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning. You can use any of your favorite seasonings for the chicken.
- Butter– Either salted or unsalted butter can be used. This is the buttery base for sun-dried tomato sauce.
- Garlic– For the best results, you want to use freshly minced garlic, but you can also use jarred minced garlic.
- Flour– To thicken the pasta sauce, you want to add all-purpose flour to the sauce.
- Sun-Dried Tomatoes– You want to use sun-dried tomatoes in oil for this recipe.
- Milk– The key to creamy and rich pasta sauce is the dairy! For this recipe you can use either whole milk, half and half, or a mix of both. Some recipes use heavy whipping cream, which can also be used. Just be sure to take out the flour if you use heavy whipping cream, since it will already be thick.
- Parmesan Cheese– I recommend using freshly grated parmesan cheese, but you can also use grated packaged parmesan.
- Flavors– To season this pasta dish, this recipe calls for salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. You can add any of your other favorite seasonings.
- Basil– Freshly chopped basil is the cherry on top to this pasta dish! You can swap basil or parsley or cilantro if preferred.

Yes! You can totally swap out the regular flour for gluten free pasta.
The key ingredients in this creamy pasta are the sun-dried tomatoes, so you do not want to take out this ingredient.
Once the pasta is cooled, transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Add the pasta to a skillet with 1-2 tablespoons of milk and reheat on medium heat. You can also reheat in the microwave or oven. The key to getting creamy reheated pasta is adding some extra milk and parmesan cheese when reheating.
