WHAT YOU NEED-
- Wings– You can use either frozen or fresh chicken wings. If you are using frozen wings, be sure to fully thaw them before making these wings.
- Oil– Tossing the wings in oil, helps get crispy and crunchy chicken wings. Olive oil, canola oil, or vegetable oil will work.
- Flavors– To flavor the chicken wings we use salt, pepper, garlic, Italian, and paprika! You can totally switch out the seasoning for different seasonings that you like!
Garlic Parmesan Sauce-
- Butter– The base for the sauce is butter, you can use either salted or unsalted butter. This gives you that rich flavor.
- Garlic– For the best results, you want to use freshly minced garlic. Jarred minced garlic or garlic powder will also work, it will just have a milder flavor.
- Parmesan– I highly recommend using fresh grated parmesan cheese for the sauce, but you can also use the store bought pre grated parmesan cheese.
- Greens– You can use either freshly chopped cilantro or parsley for this garlic parmesan sauce. If you are not a fan of herbs, you can leave them out.

OTHER COOKING METHODS-
There are several other different ways that you can prepare chicken wings! Use your go-to method.
AIR FRYER WINGS-
My favorite method for cooking chicken wings is using the air fryer! They come out so crispy and juicy with the need for deep frying.
- In a large bowl, add the wings, oil, and seasonings and toss until the wings are fully and evenly coated.
- Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap. (If your air fryer is small, you may need to cook the wings in batches to avoid overcrowding.)
- Air fryer until the wings are crispy and golden, flipping halfway through the cooking time for all around crisp.
- Meanwhile, make the sauce.
- When the wings are golden brown and crispy, transfer them to a bowl, pour the garlic parmesan sauce over top, and toss to coat.
- Remove the wings from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving platter. Top with additional grated parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides and ranch for dipping.
GRILLED WINGS-
Grilled wings are a MUST in the summertime! When grilling wings, you get that smokey flavor that is perfect.
- Preheat the grill until it’s hot.
- Once heated, place the marinated chicken wings on the grill grates and cook for 15-17 minutes, turning them halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Transfer the good wings to a bowl along with the garlic parmesan fries and toss to combine.
- Add the garlic parmesan wings to a serving plate and top with additional grated parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately with desired sides.
FRIED WINGS-
Keep it traditional and make fried crispy chicken wings!
- Heat oil in a large pot to 350°F.
- Carefully lower the chicken wings into the hot oil and fry for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Once done, remove the wings from the oil and place on a wire rack to allow excess oil to drip off the wings. Continue to fry the rest of the wings.
- Transfer all the wings to a large bowl along with the sauce and toss to fully coat them in sauce.
- Add the wings to a serving plate and top with additional parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE:
Yes! You can use either whole wings, or even just drumettes or wingettes. Whatever you prefer.
You can totally make boneless wings! Follow my boneless wings recipe and just use this garlic parmesan sauce.
You want to make sure the butter is not super-hot to avoid melting the parmesan cheese. I like to melt the butter and then wait until the wings are done to finish mixing the sauce.
For the best results, you want to use fresh grated parmesan cheese, but the pre-grated parmesan cheese will also work.
Once the wings are cool, transfer to an airtight container or cover and store it in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Reheat the wings in the microwave, air fryer or oven until warmed through and enjoy.
