Greek Turkey Burger-

Toppings-

Instructions

Making Turkey Burger Patties-

  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the turkey patties.
1 lb ground turkey, 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese, 1/2 medium yellow or red onion, grated, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp paprika, ½ tsp Italian seasoning, 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Mix thoroughly with your hands until everything is evenly incorporated.
  • Divide the mixture into 5 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  • Using your hands or a patty press, flatten each ball into a round patty about 4 inches wide, slightly larger than your buns, as they will shrink while cooking.
  • Place the patties on the prepared parchment paper and repeat until all 5 are formed.
  • Store in the fridge, until ready to cook. (The patties can be made up to 1-2 days ahead of time and stored in the fridge.)

Stovetop Burgers-

  • Preheat a large skillet or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Once heated, add a light drizzle of oil to coat the bottom of the skillet. Add the turkey burger patties to the skillet, leaving space in between each patty.
  • Cook on medium high heat for about 5-6 minutes, until brown. Flip and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Assemble your burgers with your favorite buns, toppings, and sauces. Serve and enjoy!
5 burger buns, 5 slices tomatoes, cucumbers, thinly sliced, pickled onions, tzatziki sauce

Grilled Burgers-

  • Preheat the grill to medium high heat (it should be around 375-400°F). As it preheats, use a grill brush to clean the grates.
  • Once the grill is ready, carefully add the burger patties onto the grill and reduce the heat to medium and close the lid, allowing them to cook.
  • Grill the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, flipping once halfway through. Cook until the patties reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for 2–3 minutes.
  • Assemble your burgers with buns, toppings, and sauces of your choice. Serve and enjoy!
