Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. (Either a 9x13 inch baking sheet or smaller.)
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, water, oil, greens, garlic and all the seasonings. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
1 1/2 lb ground beef, 1 Tbsp water, 1 Tbsp olive oil, 1/2 cup red or yellow onion, finely chopped, 3 garlic cloves, minced, 3/4 cup fresh parsley or cilantro, finely chopped, 2 tsp salt, ½ tsp ground black pepper, 1 tsp paprika, ½ tsp chili powder, 1 ½ tsp cumin, ½ tsp cinnamon, or allspice, ½ tsp coriander
  • Transfer the ground beef mixture to a lined baking sheet and spread evenly to cover the entire sheet pan into about a ½ inch thick layer.
  • Using a butter knife or pastry scraper, score the ground beef going from the top of the baking sheet to the bottom, creating about 8-10 strips.
  • Bake uncovered at 425℉ for 8-10 minutes. For extra crisp, broil on high for about 3-5 minutes. (Be sure to watch the beef when it is broiling to avoid burning it!)
  • Once done, remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a couple minutes.
  • Cut along the scoring that was made before baking and serve with desired sides.
