Pop the popcorn using your preferred method.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Add the popped popcorn to the baking sheet, gently spread the popcorn out in an even layer.
Melt the chocolate using your go-to method.
Stove Top Method- Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method). Stir occasionally until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
Microwave Method- You can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
Using a spoon, fork, or piping bag drizzle the chocolate evenly over the popcorn, making sure to cover the kernels generously. You can add more chocolate depending on how rich you want the flavor to be.
While the chocolate is still soft and not fully set, you can add any desired toppings. This could include crushed nuts, sprinkles, candy pieces, or a pinch of flaky sea salt to enhance the flavor and texture.
Allow the chocolate to set and harden. If you have time, let it cool at room temperature. For a quicker result, you can place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully solidified.
Once the chocolate has hardened, serve immediately or transfer it to an airtight container for storage. If you plan to store it, make sure the container is well-sealed to keep the popcorn fresh.
