An easy Blackened Tilapia recipe that makes for a great weeknight dinner! Tilapia fish fillets seasoned in a flavorful spice blend and sauteed until crispy and cooked.
In a small bowl, combined the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, chili, Italian seasoning and bread crumbs.
Rinse and pat dry the tilapia filets and place onto a plate. Season both sides with the spice blend, making sure all parts of the fish is coated in seasoning.
Heat a large skillet on medium high heat with 2 tsp oil. Once the pan is hot, add the fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Flip the fillets and add in the butter and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the fillets are crispy and cooked through.
Serve with desired sides and enjoy immediately.
Air Fryer Method-
Preheat the air fryer to 400℉ and spray the basket with baking spray.
Add the seasoned tilapia fillets into the basket and cook for 8-10 minutes. Flip halfway through the cooking time, cook until golden crispy.
