In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Mix thoroughly with your hands until everything is evenly incorporated.
Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
Using your hands or a patty press, flatten each ball into a round patty about 4 inches wide — slightly larger than your buns, as they will shrink during cooking.
Place the patties on the prepared parchment paper and repeat until all 8 are formed.
Stovetop Burgers-
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
Once heated, add a light drizzle of oil to coat the bottom of the skillet. Add the burger patties to the skillet, leaving space in between each patty.
Cook on medium high heat for about 5-6 minutes, until brown. Flip and cook finish cooking until desired doneness. (For medium well, the internal temperature will be 155°F.)
Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes, as you prepare the rest of the burger. (If you want cheeseburgers, add the sliced cheese on the burger.)
Assemble your burgers with your favorite buns, toppings, and sauces. Serve and enjoy!
Grilled Burgers-
Preheat the grill to medium high heat (it should be around 375-400°F). As it preheats, use a grill brush to clean the grates.
Once the grill is ready, carefully add the burger patties onto the grill and reduce the heat to medium and close the lid, allowing them to cook.
Grill the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, flipping once halfway through. Cook until the patties reach the desired doneness. (For medium well, the internal temperature will be 155°F.)
Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for 2–3 minutes. (Add cheese if you want cheeseburgers.)
Assemble your burgers with buns, toppings, and sauces of your choice. Serve and enjoy!
