This fruit platter is so easy to make and is great to make for potlucks or gatherings. The platter is loaded with a variety of different kinds of fruits and the best fruit dips to go with them. Making your own charcuterie board may seem like a lot of work and more money than buying a precut fruit platter, but it’s NOT!

WHAT IS A CHARCUTERIE BOARD– The classic charcuterie board is a platter or spread of cheese and meats served as an appetizer. As the charcuterie board got popular, then different types of boards were created such as dessert, fruit, smores, bagel, and even burger boards! A fun way of serving foods that is so delicious and beautiful.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Board– You can use any shape cutting board, platter, or charcuterie board you have. You can get them anywhere, Amazon, Target, Walmart or HomeGoods has great ones!
  • Fruit– Fresh fruit is what you will be using for this fruit platter! The variety of fruit you can use is endless! Try all kinds of new ideas with different types of fruit.
  • Dips– Adding different kinds of fruit dips to the board is totally a game changer! Use dips like Chocolate Hummus, Cream cheese fruit dip, jams, peanut butter, Nutella, Biscoff spread, chocolate fudge, caramel, honey, etc.
  • Fill-ins– If you want to add in some extra things to make this fruit platter heartier than you can add pretzels, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, cheese, chocolate, etc.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE A FRUIT BOARD

This beautiful fruit board can come together so easily!

  1. Prep– Cut up all the fruit that you are going to use for the platter.
  2. Add your choice of dips into cute bowls.
  3. Assemble– Add the bowls to the platter or wooden board, spreading the bowls throughout the board.
  4. Layout the different fruits along the bowls, rearranging to look aesthetically pleasing.
  5. Serve chilled or immediately.

STORING FRUIT PLATTERS

The best fruit platter is when you serve it fresh and chilled! We recommend storing the fruit in the fridge before assembling the fruit charcuterie board. You can also pre-cut the watermelon and pineapple for an easier and cleaner prep when ready to make the platter.

  • If you are using a tray you can totally assemble the fruit platter and cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge until ready to serve! You can make it ahead of time up to 2 days!
