COOKIE MONSTER ICE CREAM
Name a more fun ice cream flavor than cookie monster! Rich and creamy homemade, no church vanilla ice cream that is mixed with blue food coloring and loaded with crushed chocolate chip cookies and Oreos. The best thing about this recipe is that it requires no ice cream machine, just a few simple ingredients and a little freezer time!
WHAT YOU NEED-
- Heavy Whipping Cream– The key ingredients for homemade, no churn ice cream is heavy whipping cream! The high fat content is what you need, you can NOT substitute for half and half or whole milk.
- Condensed Milk– Not only is condensed milk the main sweetener for this ice cream, but it also gives you the right ice cream texture. You can use regular or condensed coconut milk. Be sure you are using condensed milk NOT evaporated milk!
- Vanilla– I personally find that vanilla bean paste works way better for homemade ice creams! But if you can’t find vanilla pasta, you can use vanilla extract.
- Food Coloring– What makes this ice cream fun and blue is the food coloring! I used a dark royal blue food coloring to get a deep blue color. If you don’t want to use food dyes, you can keep the heavy whipping cream white.
- Cookies– For this cookie monster ice cream you want to use hard chocolate chip cookies. I love using the chips ahoy chocolate chip cookies.
- Oreos– Not only does this ice cream use chocolate chip cookies it also calls for crushed oreos. I recommend using the regular oreos!
