Ingredients

Homemade Wonton Chips-

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • In a bowl or straight into the casserole dish, add the chopped crab meat, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, 1 cup shredded cheese, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  • Mix until fully combined and spread evenly in the casserole dish. Top with the rest of the shredded cheese. (If you mix everything in a bowl, transfer it to the casserole dish.)
  • Bake at 375°F for about 30-35 minutes, until the crab dip is bubbling and cheese is golden on top.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for 3-4 minutes. Top with additional finely chopped green onions and drizzle sweet chili sauce over the dip.
  • Serve hot with wonton chips, tortilla chips, crackers or bagel chips.

Homemade Wonton Chips-

  • While the dip is baking, unwrap the wonton wrappers and cut the square rapper in half, to create 2 triangles.
  • Add frying oil to a large pot or Dutch oven and heat until the oil is at about 325F.
  • Carefully add 3-5 triangle wontons to the oil and fry for about 45-60 seconds, until golden brown on both sides.
  • With tongs or a strainer spoon, remove the wontons from the oil and transfer to a paper towel line baking sheet or plate.
  • Sprinkle with flakey salt and enjoy with dip.
