WHAT YOU NEED-

  • Bread– For the bread, this recipe calls for French bread, either homemade or store-bought! You can also substitute for any bread loaves, such as sourdough, challah bread, or even brioche bread.
  • Butter– You can use either softened salted butter or unsalted butter for this recipe. Using a high-quality butter like Kerry Gold Irish Butter will give you better results.
  • Garlic– Use freshly grated garlic for the best results, but you can also use garlic powder or jarred garlic if that’s all you have on hand.
  • Herbs– Either dried or fresh herbs will work! I love to use a combination of cilantro and parsley. If you don’t like herbs, you can leave them out and just use a garlic butter spread.
  • Flavor– To season the garlic bread, use salt and red pepper flakes! The red pepper flakes give the garlic butter a slight kick, but it’s totally optional.
