BUFFALO CHICKEN SLIDERS

Soft and fluffy slider buns smothered in garlic butter filled with a spicy chicken filling, the ultimate lunch or dinner! These sliders are so delicious and if you like buffalo chicken dip, then you are sure to love these. The sandwiches make for a great meal or even as an appetizer for game nights.

WHAT YOU NEED-

  • Sliders– Your go-to slider buns will work for this recipe! We love the Hawaiian sliders, brioche buns, or any other brand that has slider buns! Make sure you don’t use burger buns; those are too big for this recipe.
  • Chicken– This recipe calls for shredded chicken! You can use either canned shredded chicken, shred your own chicken or even use a rotisserie chicken and shred it!
  • Hot Sauce– For the best results, you want to use Franks Buffalo hot sauce. Any other buffalo hot sauce will work also.
  • Ranch– Adding the ranch gives the chicken some extra flavor! Regular, buttermilk or light ranch can be used. You can even use blue cheese dressing.
  • Cheese– Either shredded or sliced Colby jack cheese can be used. You can also switch up the type of cheese, such as Swiss cheese, monetary cheese, or provolone cheese will work!
  • Flavor– To season the chicken filling you want to use some salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Garlic Butter– Adding garlic butter to the top of the slider buns totally elevates these sandwiches! For the garlic butter, you want to use butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning! You can even add freshly chopped herbs to this butter mixture.

HOW TO MAKE BUFFALO CHICKEN SLIDERS

These sliders come together so easily, and they make for a great weeknight dinner!

  1. Preheat the oven and line a baking sheet or casserole dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, hot sauce, ranch, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the bottom of the slider buns to the baking sheet.
  4. Divide the chicken filling between all the buns. Top with cheese and close with the top buns.
  5. Brush the tops of the buns with the garlic butter mixture.
  6. Bake until lightly golden and the cheese has melted.
  7. Cut and serve with desired sides.
Reheating Leftovers– These are great as leftovers! Reheat in the air fryer, oven or microwave until warmed! These slider leftovers are great to pack for lunch!

AIR FRYER SLIDERS

You can totally make these in the air fryer!

  1. Assemble the sliders in the air fryer basket, per above instructions.
  2. Air fry at 400 for 8-10 minutes, or until slightly golden and the cheese has melted.
  3. Remove from the air fryer basket and serve with desired sides.

MAKE-AHEAD

This recipe makes for a great make ahead meal! Whether are want to meal-prep for dinner or prep for gathering. We do not recommend assembling the sliders ahead of time or the bread will get soggy.

  • Fridge– Prepare the chicken filling and add it to an air-tight container and store in the fridge for up to 2-3 days! To Serve: When ready to serve, assemble and bake!
  • Freezer– The chicken mixture also freezes great! Add to a freezer safe bag and freeze for up to 3 months! Thaw overnight, then make the sliders and bake!
These sliders are great to make when you have leftover chicken! Just shred the chicken with a shredder and mix the filling, add to a labeled bag and freeze, a great way to use up leftovers!

SERVING IDEAS
